Tips to storage meat & poultry at home

1. Separat raw, cooked and ready to eat food
2. Do not wash or rinse meat or pultry
3. Wash cutting boards, knives, utensils and counter tops in hot soapy water after preparing each food item and before going on the next ine
4. Store raw meat, poultry and seafood on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator so juice don't drip onto other foods below
5. Cook foods to a safe temperature to kill microorganisms
6. Never defrost food on the kitchen counter at the room temperature
7. Thaw food by placing it in the refrigerator, submerging air tight packagedfood in cold tap water or defrosting on a plate int the microwave
